Obsession with nirvana, iin?

I gradually go into them freshman year right around the time when I started to smoke weed, date, and play guitar. At first I only liked a few songs but then I bought Nevermind and learned the whole album by ear on guitar and learned how to sing each one too. I then got into the members too and I bought their other albums. I read the members biographies and really liked each of them. Of course I liked Kurt Cobain the most for a while and had an obsession with him. I even had a man crush on him! I also think Dave and Chris are pretty cool too.

They changed my life in a weird way. I don't know how to explain it but they sort of balanced me out between a lot of things. I know all of their songs, have all their albums, two t-shirts of them, and can play every song on guitar. My friend also has an obsession with them. Normal?

Is It Normal?

  • Nirvana is a great band. I have their entire album on my ipod. My favorite song by them is "rape me." All their lyrics are pretty funny, especially lithium.

  • I was listening to "rape me" with my headphones around my neck quite loudly the other day in my class after it let out and I was the only one in there. The janitor walked by, and I just know she had to be thinking WTF?

  • Nirvana was great. Alice in chains were better though, Layne Staley had an amazing voice!
