  • I have obsessed over characters who were fictional, but not because I was in love with them. How can you be in love with them if they don't exist? I think you can admire a character if they don't exist, like Alyosha Karamazov, the idealist, or Carlos Castaneda's Don Juan. To fall in love you usually need physical contact or at least some kind of actual communication. Otherwise, how can you truly feel love for the fictional character?

    • You could think yourself in love with them, like imagine it and imagine how it would be/what it would feel like, but I agree, you can't actually truthfully fall in love with a fictional character as you haven't actually met them as they aren't real. But I do have a fascination with a fictional character but it's just interest, like what would it be like if you were like them for a day, and what not... I think it's normal though.

    • well, how can you love God if you cant see him? (BTW i do love God im using this as an example)just because you cant see it doesnt mean u can't love it. like i cant see my dead dog but, i still love him and i can't see the guy im totally in love withh bucz hes fictional so here is my point you can love something and not see it at the same time. all you need is an image of them and imagination and a little bit of heart and poof you can see talk and even act them out.
