yea i actually think they were too creatively and technically. They also put a lot of emotion into their songs but to me Nirvana's just better. Alice in Chains can get too depressing sometimes. I like depressing music but pretty much all of their songs are depressing.
A wise man once said to me..."most people think alice in chains was a sad or low down sound, i've realised it wasn't at all, it was sombre and full of hope"
I find the end of those bands strange though, i always looked at cobain as selfish for what he did . And staley as tragic, just slowly letting himself rot away, not leaving the house or speaking to anyone. I remember being seven or eight and seeing the news of cobains death on the tv.
