Nothing makes sense. am i crazy?

All I can think about is how people are just born, thrust into the world, and all life is is us trying to make sense of the universe. Everything we do, eat, our culture, customs, everything we are, somewhere along the line someone just decided that this was how it was going to be and now that's how it is and we don't even question it. I'm going insane just thinking, why, why why?

Forgive my simple answer,it is genuine and sincere.

I think we are naturally inclined to ask these questions because they have answers. It is almost like a need, we are hungry so we seek food. We are tired, so we seek rest/sleep.

Think about it have you ever needed something that was not in reality possible.

I think these questions about meaning, and truth are our way of seeking God. The questions you have are pivotal, and the answer to truth must be the ultimate reality, that could only be God.

That is the conclusion I came to, your question only reinforces that, because I often wonder if other people think about these mind shattering questions.

Just relax though, your not in any danger. Once you have the proper mental resources you will be able to handle these things. Such as before you knew what algebra was and you were asked what 2x 3-y (9)= 36 or whatever....you dig lol.

Yes! its wonderful to search for meaning in life, it's born into us to search out the "why's" of life.

And I agree 100 percent with what SpinLight said.

All the best people in the world are the ones who ask questions! ; )

Questions like that are the first step toward self discovery and finding what you truly beleive in. Don't worry. Your brain will calm down.

It is completely normal! We are pretty much the same. We are both curious about things and are both trying to solve the greatest puzzles: Life and Existence. You wonder about things and why they are whet they are and why or how they are there. You keep wondering and wondering and wondering... You wonder like that cause you're smart. You think so much beyond the box that you broke the box! Keep it up, but don't share it with someone who you know will not understand it (try telling family or people who can relate, these two kinds of people will understand and might be able to relate). Just remember to limit the people you tell your opinions to. Some people will think you are crazy. Start talking to someone and ask a few questions and when you know you can tell them what you think, then you will know...

Oh and one more thing. If you are wondering about man made things then there really are NO PURELY MAN-MADE things. Objects we humans make always rely on another thing/s to be made from (example: Your PC: The materials used were already there and just put together and processed to be what it is. The materials used were NOT made by man, only processed and messed with by man.) Ok you get it?

This is me to. And it came about from some painful occurrences and harsh realizations. I've started delving into learning about other religions and ideas, meditation, mindfulness, and I've been hearing over and over again that we may be entering into the first stages of a new consciousness. One that doesn't rely so much on our ego and the parts of our brain that still thinks the tiger is hunting us. With more and more people starting to question and ponder instead of accept and follow I'm wondering if just maybe it might be true.

Actually someone didn't just "decide" that it was this way, we evolved to do these things in order to survive and reproduce. If you're going insane from a thought like that, you probably have a pretty fragile mind. Perhaps staying away from drugs is a good idea.

I feel the exact same way. Nothing feels right. Society is so contrived and I can't understand anything.

Yes...apparently it *is* normal! I've been feeling this way recently and I think it was triggered by my coming across a series of heavy events in my life. Or sometimes it doesn't have to be triggered by anything at all. But I too have been thinking "why this, why that? Why why why why" ad infinitum.

I suggest you do some reading on the base chakra...look at different sites about it. Good luck.

I totally understand what you're going through. I'm actually glad other people think like this (I thought I was the only pensive freak). I forget whether it's Buddhism or Hinduism but there is a symbol called Ohm which means something akin to the universal resonance of all matter. When I think of that I feel better. Try to occupy yourself. I've found that when you have too much time on your hands you tend to ponder these things. Good luck.

Dude, youre having a philosophiccal crisis. I think like this a lot, then one day it all fits together, and feels awesome.

Then I start thinking like it again about something else.

There are days that I've figured out the universe.

    lol, it's normal

Those thoughts last for a while until you can wake up one morning, take a deep breath and be comfortable with this realization.
From then on, you will feel like a million dollars.

Nasty, brutish and short -- life's a bitch, and then you die.

If you can, take some college philosophy classes. People have been wondering about this stuff for thousands of years, and some of what they have to say is enlightening.

Remember that most of the matter in the universe never gets to be conscience at all, so enjoy what you have and make the most of time you have left.

This is a good thing... too many people just accept what is generally percived as reality, not many of us stop to think each day that we are just suspended in a huge void (Universe), reliant on a massive ball of fire a few zillion miles away, this way of thinking should help you to not get to attached to material possesions or worldly vices... Just be

i understand what you mean. The world is the way it is and everyone just goes by it. It's kind of funny really, how the world works and how complicated human beings have made things. I look around on my desk and everything seems to be manmade and nothing is natural anymore. But it feels normal.
