  • Are you taking any psychiatric medications? Some psychiatric meds including antipsychotics can induce lactation. That happened to me but it went away after I began taking birth control to regulate my hormones (I'm not sexually active - with other people anyway...)

    • I'm taking celexa, buspar, baclofen, and tenex. Not sure if those would have lactation as a side effect, but its something that I'll (awkwardly) ask my psychiatrist next appointment.

      • I'm not familiar with any of those medications but I wouldn't be surprised if one of them was the culprit. It's a good idea to talk to your psychiatrist about it, even if it is awkward. I didn't tell my psychiatrist about my lactation and I wound up having to have blood work and an MRI because of my highly elevated prolactin levels. All of those tests could have been avoided if I had been honest from the beginning.
