Not being afraid of death

I'm not afraid of death. In fact, I'm more embracive of death than scared. I often wonder what the afterlife is like. No, not like the false concepts of heaven and hell; more like how it would feel to not have my own physical body anymore.

Additionally, the thought how I meet fate with death intrigues me. Like will I get shot, stabbed, or will it be from disease?

That's not to say I want to die right now. I'm still young and still want to enjoy my life while I still can. I'm just different from the ones who are scared of death. I highly doubt this is "normal" cause there's no such thing as a normal.

Is It Normal?

  • Actual being dead doesn't scare me, The pain while dying scares me!
Like drowning or some other way of suffocating. Or dying a very slow painful death

  • Yeah I feel the same way, I think most people aren’t afraid of death, but the process of dying like I am lol. Or some bad place in the afterlife

  • The mark of a thinker. I bet your not the type of person who accepts social concepts at face value (and that's a good thing). People are afraid of death because it's the unknown but be wary. This line of thinking can also lead to madness and depression

  • When you're young you think nothing can happen to you.
When you are middle aged you worry about dying.
When you are old like me (71) you don't care, every day is a bonus.

  • The problem is you will no longer be alive to know what it felt like to be dead

  • Sometimes living just feels like marking time.
