I heard the IRA are still fucking things up. You're completely on point about the kids. They groom them to throw shit at police when they come through, so they can't do their jobs.
Come to think of it, even I was one of those kids at one point. There was fuck all to do in our area so all we did was vandalise and light fires and throw stones at the cops without knowing why.
A few months back a bomb was found in the boot of a car in the estate where my parents live and they sent all the kids out to riot and block the bomb squad. They also use them as cover while carrying out shootings etc. These people call themselves the "New IRA" but real republicans just see them as gangsters
