Normal to suck my thumb and slide my finger in and out of my anus?

I find myself doing this when i am really upset about something and it makes me cry uncontrollably. I just start sucking my thumb like when i was a child and slowly penetrate my index finger into my rectum. It just seems to calm me down quite quickly and take my mind off of stuff. By the way i am a 27 yr old male. Is this normal? I know the smell of my finger is not.

    Many women I've dated were still sucking their thumb, usually when asleep so, yes, it's normal. What isn't normal was one woman who used to put HER thumb in MY mouth while I was asleep. This went on for the 2-1/2 years we dated and when it was over I couldn't sleep without a thumb in my mouth, mine. :(
