Once my shower hits 10 minutes, my parents freak out and start banging on the door. Is this normal?
They dont need the bathroom either. They take showers in the morning, I take it at night.
Is it normal?
Next time either (or better yet, BOTH) of your parents take a shower, time them Them, turn off the hot water line at exactly 11 minutes! Place a tape recorder (or netter yet, VIDEO CAMERA) outside the bathroom door and record the festivities. Post it on YouTube. Watch it over and over while you ate grounded.
I take showers that are about 20 minutes, it's your parents who are abnormal.
My dad yells when I get a shower too. My hair is really long and it takes a while to wash... He doesn't realize that. Not only is it long. But it's really thick, and therefore takes at least 5 minutes to get completely wet... Not to mention 24 hours to air dry... But I'm digressing. No. It isn't normal for your parents to be so hard on you for getting a damn 11 minute shower.
Well. I live in an area to where we get put on water rationing alot. It sucks. Sky high water bills if you go over your limit. But, I still take my showers as long as it takes. I cut back on watering the lawn, craming the washing machine instead of little loads. Saving some of the water in the shower till it gets hot and using it to water plants.
So, maybe they need to cut back elsewhere. 11 minutes is a really short shower.
how about you offer to pay some of the water and heating bill so you can be in there for longer.
wtf, 11 minutes? and when they dont even need the shower when your using it anyway? thats just fucked up :/ lol i guess they wouldnt like being in our house, i take at least half an hour in the shower, so does one of my sisters, and my youngest one i think takes over an hour. but who the heck do they expect to get out in less than 11 minutes
People piss me off when they get mad over how long someone showers. I mean, unless you have plans who cares how long you take?
I think they need to chill a bit, and you should ask them why they are making you rush and get out after 10 minutes.
Im a girl with very thick long hair and when I wash and condition my hair, that alone takes 10 minutes. I can't shower for less then 20.
Ten minutes is ok. Speaking from a parents point of view maybe the bills are. High. Try to shorten it up and help ur parents
Seems you parents really do have issues with you showering at night and are trying to rush you out to discourage you from having them at night!!! Ignore them!!!!
To the person above: water bills aren't that bad if you take a shower for 20-30.
I don't take long showers (average 15 mins) but my husband does (30ish minutes). Your parents are odd for getting upset if your showers are longer than 10 minutes.
They are probably worried about the bill to heat the hot water heater. My mom used to do that. My showers nowadays are 30 mins.
