Normal to cry over cute dogs?

I have two dachshunds, and I love them with all my heart. they're so cute. was raised with them and whenever I see any dog I think of my dogs and want to go home and hug them and stay with them forever. is that normal

    I was at work and there was this tiny field mouse that I was trying to catch, because my boss said she was gonna call an exterminator, well when I was chasing it the mouse got injured and died. Later I was supposed to run an errand for my boss, but I got back late, because I had to go home and visit my rat. I wanted him to know I love him and I'm glad he's safe and sound.
