Normal being this intimate and open with loved ones?

One time trimming my facial hair my ex (who I had been with for a long time) wanted to use the bathroom to pee. Normally I would've left the bathroom to give her privacy, but that one and only time I told her "Go ahead. We've been intimate in many ways... a simple peeing is no biggie" while I continued my trimming looking at myself in the mirror. She was super awkward at first but then sat down and peed away like normal. I didnt look and was cool about it. This wasnt a fetish or anything

Another example... my best friend and I share each other's virtual workspace (it's like an advanced daily planner). One of my notes on there is "Reasons to keep living." A reminder for me when things get really dark and low, maybe I can look at all those reasons and look forward to life. I had no problem posting it on my planner where he can easily see it

For the record I take very very long to be this close with someone new. But even then... is this normal?
