No sex before shower

I never want to have sex with a girl without having a shower first.

I once had a really bad experience of this girl smelling so bad as soon as she took off her panties, I was drunk, but the smell sobered me up so much. I kicked her off of my bed and told her to sleep on the couch cuz I wasn't in the mood.

Now, whenever I have sex with a girl, I take a shower, and give her a towel, and hope she gets the hint.

is it normal that I only have sex after a good shower?
