No period in 2.5 months

I am in the 'prime of my life' for fertility so I don't know why Lady Red is hiding. It's been two and a half months at least and I'm a bit freaked out. I am a virgin and have never had children so I'm not pregnant, I'm just scared that something's wrong with me.

KholatKhal is right to suggest you investigate the possibility of PCOS, and Lorna is also right that sometimes Weird Shit Happens for no obvious reason.

Stress, sudden weight loss, being overweight and doing too much exercise can all cause hormonal upsets that result in periods stopping.

    • Can you have PCOS if you're young? If i do, can I still have children? I really can't not have children as I will be disobeying my family and bring disappointment to them. aaaHAHHHH

The only time pregnancy happens is when one does NOT want it.

      • Yes, and yes, it’s something you can actually grow out of in most cases I heard. It’s super easy to treat usually too, my girlfriend controls it with birth control and a single pill every morning.

You can't grow out of it, it's not curable. It is very manageable, though.

Worry about your health not what your family " wants".
But yes its still possible to have kids. You probably dont have it anyway

I wish my wife would stop having hers for 2 months. She turns evil.

There's very little chance that anything is really wrong with you, that happens to a lot of women. The human body is a bit of a crazy house. Give it another month and if you don't get your period go to your doctor.

  • Are you on birth control? Have you been tested for PCOS? It’s very common.

My girlfriend has PCOS and the only way she can get her periods in check is by being on birth control.
Also, she claims that if she doesn’t work out or eat healthy enough during the month it makes it harder for her to get a regular period.

I studied the shit out of periods because she had such a hard time lmfao

I went from April until November without Aunt Flo, and aside from feeling old I was pretty happy to not see that old bitch.

I assume you're quite young, so if you're concerned you should see a doctor.

You're not going to get an answer on here: see your doctor, it could be normal or there could be something causing it which can be easily rectified

It could be normal. Sometimes its stress, being sick being very thin etc. But you should ask your dr.
I havent had a period for over 4 years because of birth control and I dont miss it one bit. But im not trying to have kids.

How old are you ? How long have u had a period? Are you vegan ? Are you overweight or underweight? These are all factors.

    • I was underweight last time I checked so I was getting medical intervention, but it still wasn't severe. I am 17, and I eat all foods. I first got it 4 years ago.

Well it does not sound like you have PCOS. You’re underweight and young. There’s your answer. I hope you can gain some weight. Continue eating all foods. You’ll be fine sweetie

Could be pcos maybe? My friend has that. Some of my meds actually helped her get her period. I felt happy giving her 4 months of doses. she will appreciate it more than I would

You should go to the GP if you miss another. If you go now they will probably do a pregnancy test (despite you telling them you're a virgin) and then tell you to come back once you've missed a third period. At that point they should investigate further.
