Is it normal to have grown up (am now 20) and never have one girl-friend? I am a female and unlike most females I never had friends who were girls. I always connected better with boys. Always got along and felt comfortable with them. Not once have I ever had the desire to have a girl-friend. Now that I'm older I have 2 girl-friends (been my friends for like a year) and like 10 guy-friends. Idk what it is. I always get bad vibes from most girls. I don't judge. I just don't feel comfortable lol.

And BTW I'm not gay. I'm straight and I have a boyfriend of 1 year.

Is It Normal?

    I am the same way now im in a serious relationship living together and he hates it i never get to just go hang out with friends cuz there all guys and i worry about when i get married who will be my bridesmaids and maid of honor n shit i have no sisters just brothers and am not close with any female cousins sux huh u want to be my friend? lol

    There are plenty of women who don't really get along with other women. Gaggles of girls can be gossippy, bitchy and competitive, while with a bunch of guys you enjoy the status of being one of the guys and the only girl which will get you better treatment. That being said, there are some wonderful women out there that you could have a truly amazing friendship with, deeper than you can achieve with most men. Maybe you haven't met such a woman or maybe you are simply too closed off to other women to get things started. If you want things to change you'll need to be open to the possibility of friendship and that such a relationship may be quite different than one with a guy. Openness, interest, and sensitivity are all that are really required

    You say you "never had the desire to have a girlfriend"... Perhaps that explains why you don't. Having said that, you don't have to if you don't wanna.
