No family, this cant be normal

my bio family abandoned me when i was 12, i've lived in shelters, and in foster care, as an adult I don't fit in cant make or keep friends. I feel like I can't relate to people and they cant relate to me. I just discovered in therapy that I've never been loved, and that I assume anyone who isn't outwordly mean to me is a friend. I keep being disappointed when these people leave me and stop talking to me. is anyone else completely alone? no friends or family?

There are more like you, unfortunately. Since you've been abandoned it's harder to make familial connections.

i will be your friend. i am not adopted nor have i been abandonded but i know the feeling of friends not being friends. like when they stop talking to me and decide to not be my friend. it would make so much more sense and make it better if they had just told me to my damn face that they don't wanna be my friend any more for this reason....and try to work things out. but fk em cause you know what?the friends you end up keeping they are the ones who can tell you to your face to calm the fk down and stop being an idiot when you over react to a situation.
and i have 5 of these real friends in my life.
you should be my friend too. i will be friends with you forever. i never drop a friend unless they are on drugs, alcoholic etc(anything bad)

That sucks about how your bio parents treated you. Do whatever u can and try your best not to turn up like that when or if you have children. Surround yourself with positive people who are successful. Try to meditate when u are alone.

I guess it's normal for your situation. Just keep going to therapy and making new friends.

Also, I think it's normal for anyone to feel sad when a friend stops talking to them.
