It means much. You accumulated hatred for humans in response to the pain you've been receiving. I'm guessing you don't have real friends or someone who really understands you, but once someone like that exists in your life you'll feel empathy for them. How old are you?
I think it means something. I've had my fair share of getting picked on and it was especially bad in late elementary, 7th grade and freshman year of high school. Not to say it way easy at other times, but what really helped me was when I was a junior in high school I started studying martial arts. I had more confidence to stand up for myself or even felt more secure when turning the other cheek once I knew I could defend myself if necessary.
I can't say that I entirely hate other people, but animals, especially dogs and cats, have been a great comfort for me in my life. When I was in college I got kicked out of the dorms for having a little white mouse. The good news is that my mom got me an apartment, but what the Hell kind of shitty person snitches on another depressed student just for having a sweet, little pocket pet? Once I got my apartment I got my first professional entry level job in my field as well as a second mouse, a rat and eventually I rescued a kitten after a car accident.
I don't blame you for how you feel, people can be jerks especially people who aren't animal lovers.
