  • Yes, smoking weed or even CBD oil before bed does wonders for me because i share the same nightmare problem. And yes i do have depression but my nightmares are usually re-accruing for some reason...

  • Seek professional help from a therapist. It sounds like you're most likely going through some sort of personal crisis. I also think that charli.m's suggestion about a possible repressed trauma as the root of these nightmares is quite the reasonable and probable explanation.

Please ignore the other posters who have suggested mixing sleeping pills with alcohol and drugs as that may very well exacerbate the problem.

Celestial Seasonings makes some really good relaxing teas and Tension Tamer is one that comes to mind. I would also highly recommend incorporating exercise, especially yoga. Additionally it may serve you well to pray, meditate and keep a journal of your nightmares as well as your waking life. Please try to seek out some therapy if you're able.

  • Have you tried counseling? Perhaps there is a psychological issue or repressed trauma or Idk. Worth a look in if it is causing you this much distress.

  • You gotta relax yourself first, drink chamomile tea before bed time, dim the light or you know just tear off the pillow case lease your demon off and then sleep like a baby. That's what I did. And it worked well. Good luck!

  • I also deal with nightmares every day. I have read that excessive dreaming is a symptom of depression and I'm definitely depressed.

  • This is normal, everybody. I hate to say it, but it is an actual condition known as Parasomnia. No amount of therapy is going to change it, because it is how some brains are wired. Like mine.
