Need some help...

About a week ago my dad and I went camping. We were fishing when I thought I felt a bite and started reeling in. I got a knot in my line and before I could do anything about it, we heard this noise come from the bushes, and then some naked guy jumped out and started throwing rocks at us. He was screaming "Stop stealin' ma fish", and "Don't come no closer or I'll get ma shotgun!". Which was weird because we were kind of backing away from him.

We picked up our tackle boxes and collected our stuff as fast as we could. The naked guy followed us all the way to our camper where he found some bigger rocks. Thankfully he had bad aim and he kept his distance while we speedily picked up our stuff.

Now, my dad and I have talked about this in length, and maybe you guys can help us. Why exactly would my fishing line have gotten knotted up?

The naked guy was skinny dipping, tried to get a fat and tie it on his wang. It slipped off and you now have a knot.

Normal? Not at all. I'd be more concerned about the crazy naked dude then questioning why the lines got knotted. Lines get tangled and knotted regularly. Currents and weeds are a pretty dominent reason for that. Seriously though, I'd have told the park ranger or someone in control of the area about the crazy naked dude.

Maybe you stumbled upon his secret hidden treasure buried in the river?

Lmao about the naked guy. Yeah the fish probably tangled the line up or you just pulled on it because you thought you had a fish but you were really caught on something in the first place.

Possibly the fish had swam into a patch of seaweed (or another sutable substitute).

    Good story, btw.
