Natural selection
It pisses me off when people talk about how we need to save everything.
[Species] is going extinct; we need to save it!
[Language] is going extinct; we need to save it!
The world is changing! We need to stop it!
Extinction is entirely natural. Just because a species of animals is going extinct doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Some species are just unsuited to new situations. You think species never went extinct before humans? Of course they did.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to just kill everything. But stability is a human-invented concept. I even think global warming is entirely natural. Ever seen a graph of world temperature versus time? Look one up sometime. Try to find one spanning a few hundred years and you'll see my point: it CHANGES.
I could go on for ages about this in multiple different subjects. So I'll just end it with this: some things do just die. Am I the only one unsaddened by animal/language extinction, global warming, etc.?
