Name one thing about yourself that you're proud of

My credit score just hit the 803 mark. No one on my family has a good credit score, so this just makes my heart sing. How about you guys?

I guess starting my own business, being able to help my parents and meeting my girlfriend, who has been a huge emotional support. To be honest, if she wasn't there for me, I feel like maybe I wouldn't even be here. Never let her know how I really felt, cause I didn't want to worry her, but I am grateful.

Kinda feel like buying some of my dream cars is also up there, but that's more of a bonus from just making more money, than something I have achieved.

Anyway, not many people in their 20s can say they have their own business and several cars. Now if only I could overcome that damn self hate, that'd be another thing I'd love to add to the list.

Isn't she the one who introduced you to liquid hand soap?

      You should probably marry her.

I think I will... won't be in the middle of the corona insanity tho.

Seriously, I have been thinking about it and she ticks nearly every box I want in a wife. And as far as I know, I tick most boxes for her ideal man. Sure, I could stand to lose a few kilos, learn to be a bit more easygoing, less self critical and maybe drink a bit less, but whatever. We just click together.
I do suspect she's ready for the next step, cause I've seen her look at wedding dresses and stuff and while both of us are not ready for children, I have also seen her look at stuff on parenting and caught her once "modelling" pregnancy with a pillow under her shirt. It was a funny and very cute moment XD

Oh wow, yeah. She's ready. These are hints.

You remind me of my husband when you list your "faults". Especially the losing a few kilos comment... women tend not to give a fuck about these things. My husband is carrying some extra weight and when I see it I am reminded it's because he works so hard and gives so much to me and the kids that he doesn't have much time for himself. Extremely sexy and attractive quality in a man. It just makes me want to spoil him and bring him a nice cold beer and suck his dick and rub his back when he has a day off. Because he deserves it. I wouldn't be surprised if your girlfriend feels the same.

Do you know her ring size? The ring being a perfect fit when she puts it on makes the whole moment even more special because you know he would have gone to so much trouble to figure that out.

Thanks for the feedback! Nice to hear a woman's perspective too.

My girlfriend does spoil me on Saturdays. Normally I like to shine in the weekends with my culinary skills and pamper her, but after I come back from my Saturday bus driving job, she has dinner set up, ice-cold Rakia at the ready, amazing salad for the rakia and the main course on standby.
Bonus points if she decides to wear sexy, skinny, low-rise jeans. Revs me up right away.

That's if I don't do a late shift... The last 5 weeks, I've been doing only night shifts and I've been feeling tired as hell. Day job Monday through Friday, Saturdays I deal with my own business, helping around the house and then a quick breather in the afternoon, quick dinner with no booze and down to the bus depot in the evening. I clock in at 10 and clock off at 6 in the morning, home at 6.30 and I wake up at noon on Sunday. Looking forward to our holiday, only 2 weeks left. I can get some needed R and R and give my girlfriend some more attention. Take her to the beach, show her places around Bulgaria, generally spend more time together without worrying about stuff. Corona has me working at 100 percent. I didn't get any government aid for my company, but I still had to pay my employees some money to keep them around and pay taxes. All of that came out of my savings account. I want to make up for the lost money. I want us and our future children to have a good and comfortable life and be there for my mom and dad.

Also yes, I do know her ring size. Got an old ring she rarely wore to the jeweler to get the info and when the time comes, I'll buy the rings in Bulgaria. They are cheaper and just as well made as anywhere else and I plan on proposing when we are in Bulgaria. Probably next summer. I don't know how I'm gonna propose and where exactly, but I got time to figure it out.

I don't want to do the whole romance movie proposal cliche, maybe I'll do it when we are at the mountains so it's more private, maybe I'll get some help from my carguy friends and do some crazy driving that leads up to the proposal... I don't know. All I know is I want it to be a special moment for the both of us.

PS: Sorry if my response was a bit long, or ranty...

Not all women want that cliche proposal... I definitely didn't. My husband nailed his proposal and I asked him later why he didn't go for the fancy restaurant, flowers, big speech etc and he said he knew I would have been horribly embarrassed and said no if he'd done it like that. He was right. Gotta love that guy, he knows me like the back of his hand.

I think rather than a big, fancy, romantic gesture, a proposal should be your way of showing her that you know who she is. For some women it would be the big romantic gesture, but for many there are much better ways to go.

    Serving in the US Navy.

To serve on a steel behemoth of war and peace, first time I saw my ship it gave me goosebumps. I served on the USS Germantown out of Sasebo Japan, even though at that point it was a clunker of a ship it still imparted a sense of purpose and patriotism that is hard to describe

Thank you for your service, fellow mate as I too served in the US Navy (USS Savannah, Norfolk). So many people do not understand what it means to serve. Living on a Naval Vessel also is a unique lifestyle.

Wait the USS Savanna? You mean the oiler that had one of the best mottos I've ever seen "we never stop pumping"

I have no idea what it's like to live on a refueling ship. I was an OS so I had to help maintain the proper distance between the warship and the refueling ship. It's still a bitch you know.

When did you serve? The poor thing got scrapped in 09

PS yes I had to do a wikipedia search on it. I only have a basic knowlage of the ships in 7th fleet, and practically zero about the other fleets.

          Yes!

You must have done a good job at maintaining the distance. Not everyone did... I've lived through a few "crunches" - one of them serious enough to warrant yard work and replacement of one of the main control/cable support towers. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured or killed.

You are correct that it was scrapped.

I was on the USS Savannah AOR-4 1975-1980

I am most proud that I have learned to put other's needs first and be able to assist other people who are willing to improve themselves and their situation. I can literally point to at least 30 people that I have assisted them to substantially improve their lives (usually financially by showing them how to increase their earning abilities); and 3 people start financially successful businesses unrelated to anything I do; all in the last 6 years.

On a personal side: My being an Official at an Olympics and 2 World Championships is a personal peak that I will always remember as an adult. There are other achievements based on my personal and technical abilities. But, this one required me to be good enough at something that many other's recognized my specific expertise.

Now for all of you: Go fourth and achieve and make the world a better place.

I used to do hundreds of sit-ups back in my teens just for the Hell of it. Honestly, I should have kept it up, because a good strong core is a deterrent against back pain.
