Her friend is hyping the job up, and making it look glamorus; however, it'll make her high risk. Meaning that if something were to go wrong (rape, kidnapping, etc), who will protect her? The bouncer? The greedy business owner? Her friend? Does your girlfriend have thick skin, and can handle herself easily in confrontations? Strippers have to deal with the lowest of the low sometimes, people who can be downright disrespectful; and the prettier you are the more attention you'll get, most being unwanted. She needs to be prepared to stand up for herself.
Also, there are jobs out there, she just have to look closly and try harder. For example, she can be a delivery girl (UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc), which pays a decent amount. Or become a nurse with just a few classes and more job to choose from.
