My voice is never heard

Well, I like my voice. The problem is that people don't seem to hear it. No matter how loud I shout or something. They can only hear my voice when they are facing me. People always notice Only my looks, that's what gets attention, but never my voice.

For example, in my class, I called out a classmate of mine.

"KAAT! KAT! COME HERE QUICK! I NEED TO SHOW YA SOMETHING!"

she didn't move. At ALL. Even when I'm beside the person sometimes, they can't hear me. But, when my other friend talks to anyone, though her voice is more...soft than mine, they can hear her even if she's a mile away.

How unfair.

I almost have the same problem, except people just won't listen to me when I'm in the middle of a story, and I get interrupted on a daily basis.

It's not about the voice, it happens to me sometimes too. This might be called ignorance but if you don't think so, wait for the right moment, and when you are talking, make it short, then people will listen you more carefully. Make people pay attention to you. Change the way you choose words, change something. I did it, and now I have friends who love to listen me. :)

I was the exact opposite at school. I hardly ever spoke. But when I did, everyone would laugh, even though what I said wasn't funny at all. They're either bullies or just plain ignorant. If you have even one or two true friends, keep those and don't bother with anyone else. And if they accuse you of being ignorant, just say that they started the problem in the first place. That's what I'd do.

It's not that they can't physically hear you; they're just ignoring you. It's the WAY you're saying things. Some people just naturally develop the ability to speak in a way that gets other peoples' attention. You, on the other hand, will have to force yourself to learn tricks to summon other peoples' attention. It's not impossible! Don't give up! I was a 'nobody' in school for a few years, and then I forced myself to learn to be social, and I had a pretty girlfriend and lots of other friends by the end of high school.

  • I think you are being ignored. Unless you are maybe doing something to annoy people. Maybe you need new friends who listen to you & pay attention.

Some people may have selective hearing and just select to hear what interests them. It's difficult to hear your voice sometimes. Devices and stuff can make them sound different
