i am kindof like you, i had an atheist upbringing thoguh, but made to believe in a god by my school, often when contemplating the meaning of life as a child id say god made us all, but now i have a more complex brain i am more spiritual i have experimented and researched many religions, coming close to buddhism , but i found satanism as a very fair religion , however i believe this is not the way, i believe our own god is a god, and i think it is very important to have faith in the god that made man, not the god that man made. =]
