My skin color is never black or white enough i hate being judged

Why is darker the prefered skin color in the States, Europe, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, and South Africa, while it is essentially bad anywhere else? I have a beautiful face and features, I am mixed ethnically, and can change my color for shoots.

I just am not asian enough 2
I just am not white enough 1
I wish people would just judge me by my features as a model 6
I just am not black enough 0
I just am not latin enough 0
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Does anyone really care about skin colours anymore? I feel like mixed race people are considered more attractive in the media now anyway.

    • In the media because it appeals to basically everybody except purists who believe mixing races is bad

But in the real world there are a lot of negative connotations to being mixed, some of the more prominent being the dad's not around or the mom is easy, or anything relating to a broken or twisted home or upbringing, which in turn leads to the idea the child will grow up deranged

They may be attractive, but by the end of the day, it's black. lives that matter. If a latin or middle eastern person is murdered by rogue cops, no one is seen protesting the next days

    • It does matter, often forthe shoot

Nobody gives two shits what colour you are in 2020, it’s not really a thing anymore.

No matter how dramatic you or other dildos wish it was, it just isn’t. Nobody cares if you’re white, black, gay, blah blah blah and so on. Stop trying to feel like a victim just to feed some identity, because you fucking aren’t.

You said they care about it in the industry and I gave you an example of that being crap. I don’t see your point, being black didn’t stop her from being the most successful models ever...

If you are white that's not very cool, especially for a guy.. If I looked like Ed Sheeran I'd cringe any time I faced a mirror..

I am. But my ethnicity is irrelevant in regards to my comment, that’s actually my point to begin with. It’s only a race issue because you are making it one, which proves my point further. You aren’t a victim because a white guy said you’re overplaying things. You aren’t immune to being wrong no matter your ethnicity. Only you see yourself as different, not I. Saying I have to have or not have a certain opinion based on the race of the person I’m speaking to is racist.

And most importantly, it isn’t cool to be cool.

          You are absolutely right.

It's just identity politics and it's silly.

How do you even correctly categorise in any meaningful way? Every human on the planet is some sort of mix of stuff when you look back far enough, and it's all distinctions that we invented ourselves. Race is a social construct that serves no positive purpose at all.

All you can really claim to be unfairly judged by is your actual skin colour and facial features, and that in itself can be very subjective and tells us fuck all about someone's culture. Someone can say that they are black, for example, but have really light skin. I have known people who identify as black who have considerably lighter skin than me, just because I live in a hot country and spend too much time outside, so my skin is quite dark. It's not possible to always accurately guess someone else's ethnicity just by looking. You'd be wrong so often.

It means nothing and is so fucking tedious. I wish we could all move on but the media has too much power and too much to gain from keeping us all at each other's throats in this made up race war.
