Im in a similar boat actually. I have scoliosis, 7 or 12%, something like that i think? So not a severe curvature, but my back has been in constant pain for the past 4 years of my life. If you follow the lines of the muscles in my back and hips theyre all fucked up and twisted because of my spine curving. visibly its not too noticable but its uncomfortable as all fuckberries.
Its tough though, doctors dont like to perscribe painkillers since theyre habit forming and hesitate to perform surgery because back surgery is so expensive and so dangerous, and really if a brace doesnt help/isnt an attractive option, those are the options available.
Havent tried going to a chiropractor though, theres always the possibility that would help. And if he didnt tell you your curvature or anything I would either call the office back and demmand the results or take my business elsewhere and get a second opinion. You need a doctor whos gonna communicate whats going on with you.
I hope your spine gets better. I have realized that if my spine keeps changing that I probably would have to get surgery at some point. I don't want to have get it done and I'd rather not wear a brace either. But ignoring my spine will only prolong a already worsened situation.
Him not telling me my degrees is odd. My main doctor had said that he would tell me the curvature even if it wasn't severe. I'm baffled that he didn't and that my family wouldn't pursue it more. I don't know how I'll find out what my degrees are. If he wouldn't tell me, then I doubt he would've told my doctor. The whole thing is fucked up. I'll have to tell my doctor and see if she has them or not.
