    If you leave that stuff around than you are the cause of the fruit flies. So stop doing that and problem solved.

    my roommate blames me for bugging him to wake up and rollover so I can make love to his awesome body and, er, fruit flies? he doesn't have flies.. oh, I get ya.. we laughed over this as I was ready to bend him over the couch for a while and wild time. Sorry, missed the jumping off point... my bad. hah
