My right eye turns wonky when im anxious

So, recently ive been anxious arround my sister because shes been a lil too mean to me lately about my social anxiety by calling me a loser and that i should be disciplined. My eye lids fold down more on my right eye or i tend to yawn a lot when im near her.

For at about thirty years, my right eyelid has twitched whenever I'm under stress of some sort. Sometimes it's happened when I wasn't even consciously aware of being worried or irritated about something.

It's not that obvious to others, but I'm very aware of it.

Yawning is also very common when we're anxious. When we're feeling stressed, we tend to breathe faster than we need to (technically, it's hyperventilation, although we may not have the light-headed feeling with associate with that term). The hypothesis for why we yawn when we do this is that, when you're breathing with fast, shallow breaths, our body believes it's not getting a normal input of oxygen, and a yawn will cause our ribcage to expand and force us to take a deep breath.

Lots of people have have little tics like this. Some people - like poker players and con artists - use them to their advantage. Generally speaking though, they're really of no significance and you shouldn't worry about them.
