You always want what u can't have. But don't do nething you'll regret like wasting years of your life only to be dissapointed when he gets out. Their lives are onhold in there and of coarse you want to wait for him but your gonna grow and he's gonna be the same person he was when he went in. Only god knows if yous will want to be together then. I would still be there for him emotionally but don't make any commitments u can't keep. And if u choose to continue w ur life try not to tell him TOO much bc we know how overly sensitive they r in there.
