Very normal. As a man I've learnt never to blame a woman for anything she does at that time of the month.
The only thing is, I don't always know exactly when a woman is menstruating. It's not the sort of thing they tend to freely admit (understandably) and asking a girl if she's on her period seems incredibly sexist, as in, it kind of nullifies the legitimacy of her behaviour when she could just be genuinely upset about something. So, if I think a woman's behaviour is irrational, I just tend to assume and avoid her accordingly unless we're in a relationship.
But hey, if I naturally bled heavily from my dick for 3-4 days every month, I'd be a total arsehole for those 3-4 days every month too, so I sympathise hugely!
