My pee smells like honey smaks (the one with the frog on the box) or sugar bear kind of cereal which are both the same pretty much. Every time I eat them.... So much that when I smell them it is starting to gross me out! Any one else have the issue?
It is something in the cereal.. Do not listen to these idiots above about it being diabetes or dehydration. I challenge anyone of you to eat 2 bowls of honey smacks or sugar smacks, golden puffs and the next time you take a piss, it will smell just like the cereal. Doesn't matter if you have drank a gallon of water. It is the only thing, besides asparagus, that will do this.
Omgg I work at a hospital and I am around alot of old people who piss themselves all up, and I know exactly the smell you mean--like a cereal smell. Alot of them smell like oatmeal!
I get this also. It had nothing to do with drinking water as I drink well over a gallon each day and this smell occurs ONLY AFTER EATING THESE PRODUCTS. I don't have diabetes or kidney issues.

People stop saying it is diabetes or ketones, etc. All of
us who are aware of this know it is ONLY thes cereals that
do it (honey smacks, golden crisps) and it has happened sinc
we were toddlers, nothing to do with diabetes or anything
like that. It is far too extreme to be imagined either.
You can eat an entire cake and not have an issue but one
small bowl of this and the pee smells just like the cereal.
OMG, this happens to me EVERY time I eat Sugar Smacks or Honey Smacks/Crisps! I thought I was the only one and it just happened today, just a couple hours after eating a bowl of generic Honey Smacks, so I googled it and found your post. I don't understand how it can affect the smell of urine so quickly after it is consumed.
Maybe you should start drinking your pee so you can endorse yourself with the honey scent...
I am not diabetic (I am in the medical field and have tested blood and urine several times to make sure when having this issue)
As I said above I have the same thing happen after consuming Sugar Smacks or other similar cereal. This is just a phenomenon that occurs with no known cause as of yet!
It could be caused by diabetes - people with untreated diabetes often have sugary-smelling breath and urine.
I 2nd the comment above ^ about being diabetic. That's actually a very common symptom of it. If you are diabetic and you were to taste a drop it would actually be sweet. Your body doesn't process sugars properly when you have a tolerancy to insulin (= diabetic).
You might be diabetic if your pee smells sweet, go get some blood work done.
this happens to me everytime I eat the ones with the Sugar Bear. Captain Crunch has a similar effect. CEREAL FTW!
Me and my friend noticed this, but its normally after a morning pee. so I'm guessing its de-hydration.
Lost is right, you may be dehydrated. Is your urine also dark colored? Are you diabetic? If increasing your water intake (at least 64 oz a day) doesn't help, see a doctor.
That sounds like ketones in your urine!!! You need to hightail it to the doctor ASAP! It could be anything from a too low calorie diet to diabetes. Either way, it is bad! Go now!
