Well what's the whole reason they visit you if they don't actually interact with you?!
I would totally get annoyed as well if my parents are like that. Maybe whenever your dad goes for a walk you should get your mom and yourself to go with him and enjoy some family time, because then you'd have the chance to talk to your friends about your feelings.
