I think it is because it's the opposite, they might beleive you are capable of more.
I want to become a maths teacher too but im to scared to tell my perents because they see it as failiar
This is because my auntie wanted to become a financial advisers but she didnt and because a math teacher. My cousin wanted to become a doctor but again he didnt and became a chemistry teacher. So they see it as failiar, even tho it is something I really want to do. Also im against them becoming teachers because that is not what they want to do, so they won't care, therefore they won't be good teachers. Im still going to become a teacher but i'l tell them when it is too late. And you should be a teacher because just from reading you post I can see you will be a good teacher and inspire greatness.
