Well from personal experience I'd say perhaps it's normal, but I can assure you, you're risking losing your parents trust. I mean, they trust you enough to give you a credit card. I'm not sure but most parents should expect their kids to party some in college... I'd just say keep everything in moderation and do half decent in school and you should be fine.
Exactly, I myself received a credit card on my Father's account and I used it for all sorts of crap that my Father did not agree on.
Later, I asked my Father if I could get a small loan to get me a cheap car so I could get to my first job. My Father remembering the incident refused to lend me the money. I could not mutter a single word against my Father because he was right.
