    The people at those meetings are very open and accepting, you shouldnt be afraid, there just like you, you should fit in.

        God as one understands God, or a Higher Power. Higher Power could be anything from a Judeo-Christian concept of God to the Universe itself or science, one's authentic self, nature or the program.

            I know they preech religion I dont think ALL of them preech religion though.

              AA has nothing to do with religion they don't preach it or talk about.

                If AA has nothing to do with religion and they don't preach or talk about it; Why is their literature scattered with references to God? 'Give yourself over to a higher power' is one of their favorites. Sure, they use the justification techniques they all learned as addicts to say it doesn't mean God and a higher power can be anything. We know they mean God.
