Is you mother very thin? Does she seem to have problems with food? When a person is anorexic, they often see others as being fat too. They'll tell them that they're fat, to make them lose weight and join their ranks. She only wants what she thinks is best for you. If you are already very thin, you shouldn't believe her comments and strive to be thinner. Eat and stay healthy. Good luck.
I'm 5'5" and have been in the 125-130 lb range since I was 14 and my Mom used to tell me all of the time "you could be thinner". Well yeah, I could and I have but my weight is in a healthy range so fuck whatever. My Mom is overweight and is extremely self conscious about it even though my sister and I tell her that she looks fine. 10/10 projecting inner feelings of body image inadequacy onto you like our Mom did to us.
Last week I read a vaguely (and I stress, very vaguely) similar case which was analyzed by a psychosocial analyst.
Is your mum fat? Sometimes parents project their own anxieties onto their children. Fatness is often one of these anxieties. I think you probably are thin, and your mum envies your thinness. She calls you fat because she wants to deny that you are thin.
