I have, on previous occasions, attempted to clarify the actual factoids behind this celebratory event. Yet many of us stubbornly refuse to clear our minds of these archaic beliefs and continue to perpetuate the lie. It is ludicrous that in an advanced and Enlightened society, we should be celebrating an event which has become little more than a cash grab for corporate consumption.
