My mind is racing

Hey, I have noticed that this has been happening to me lately, usually when I am trying to figure out something or if I am taking a test or doing my homework.

You know how when you get pumped full of adrenaline when something exciting is happening or when you are running out of time and you need to get something done really fast and your rushed, your body starts making you work really fast and your mind gets all jittery and your just like ahhhhhh.
Well that has been happening to me for no reason a lot. I am fine on the outside but on the inside my brain is like running circles and it is almost as if I could bust out any second and just start moving at high speed. I am working slow but inside my mind is screaming to GO FAST!! and is like on over-drive and it makes me like wanna be jittery, but I'm not. I don't know if I explained it good enough for anyone to know what I am talking about but this usually happens it seems when I am trying to figure something out, but I don't feel rushed, or am not rushed at all. It is happening as I am typing this, but it was from like 5 minutes ago when I was trying to solve something on the computer. My mind is wanting me to type really fast while typing it because the effects are still in me. it makes my fingers want to go skljdflksdflkljkfk.
When I am taking a test and doing this, I almost find it hard to concentrate on my work because my mind is racing.
I hope someone can relate or something haha.

    i know exactly what yout talking about! i get the exact same thing. especially how you said it makes you want to make your fingers go eilufiubfkhbf that describes it perfectly. i get it sometimes and i just feel like screaming because there is so much going through my head. i feel like i am moving really fast and everything is going too quick but if someone was looking at me you wouldn't even be able to tell. i have a feeling it could be something to do with my diet, maybe too much sugar?

    You may want to look into meditation or some other form of relaxation techniques. Remember to continue to challenge yourself and a racing mind is a product of two things: boredom or your mind is dancing around a problem that you are not quite ready to tackle.

    Yeah I know this one well.Happens usually when Im doing too much thinking and not enough physical activity.I agree with Anon above, that taking a break from the mind stuff to do a physical activity , for awhile should help your mind slow up and relax a little.

  • Well, I start thinking way too much and it makes me stressed out. So you should meditate, meaning that you sit there in silence with or without music (No vocals!), and consciously force yourself not to think about anything whatsoever. It'll make you feel better.
