My married ex gf calls me after 8 years

i had an ex gf. we broke up 8 years ago. she got married after me. 6 months ago she called me on the phone. (i dont know how she could find my new number) she talked to me friendly. after that she called me multiple times, she asked to take her from her job and drive to city center. i drive her to the town and talked all the way long. (we both work a bit out of town but offices are close). she calls me every week to meet like that again. whats she thinking? is it normal?

  • This situation is a bad one. She's clearly not happy with her marriage and is looking for outside male attention to satisfy her lack of satisfaction or ego.

I wouldn't bother with her anymore, unless you want an angry husband showing up at your door, spoiling for a fight.

  • Unless you are a total creep and are willing to have a hand in destroying her marriage just so you can get some sex, I'd get out of this ASAP.
I'm with those above who feel she is going through a rough patch at home, and she needs to be told to go home and work things out with hubby dear.
As for her leaving him for you, getting back together with an ex rarely works out.

  • Easy. Ask her if her husband knows she's contacting and seeing you and if he's uncomforfortable at with it. If he knows and is cool with it, maybe you can just be friends and keep it platonic. If he doesn't know, she a sneaky creep who will just lead you to problems and then do stuff behind your back in the future.

  • Not really. I'd stay away from that situation and ask her if her husband abuses her or what because there can't be a good reason for this.

    • she talks about the problems with her husband. her husband is 3 years younger than her and tells me that it was a mistake to marry a younger man.

  • just stop, come on now
    you know what shes thinking
exes are exes for a reason

    problem solved
    youre welcome :)

  • She's your ex for a reason, and she's married. Let it be.

  • I think she just needs a ride to town and does not want to take a taxi or bus. You are convenient and gullible. She knows you still want her and she is playing on your emotions to get what she wants. A servant.

  • So which one is it?

    Does she call you

    'After eight years'?

    'After a couple of months'?

Why doesn't she call you by your name?

  • Why not suggest that she join an online dating service for married people that want affairs. Then, she is happy and you have gotten rid of her so you're free from trouble.

  • Unless her husband is OK with it and there's no hint on either side of it turning into a sexual relationship, it's OK BUT I'll bet neither of those conditions apply.

I guess what you do about it depends on how much trouble you want in your life.

  • Well that happens when you tell the media you won the lottery.

    • Sounds hard to believe but some states here actually don't give a lottery winner an option to remain anonymous. Like "Sorry everyone is gonna know you won, so get ready for solicitors, extended family, and just about any scumbag you may said hello to over the years to ask for money".

      • Well that totally sucks. If that happened, I would leave the damn country and settle in the middle of no where.

      • That is terrible! By any chance do you know if California is one of the states that does that crap?

        • Yup, it looks California publicly announces a winner. In fact most do, from what I looked up : Ohio, North Dakota, Maryland, Kansas and Michigan are the only ones who dont.

          • Aww man, that sucks! Oh well, I wonder what's cut off amount where one loses the anonymity? Call me crazy, but I love my privacy.
