I don't think it's necessarily normal. But I'm not judging you. You sound like a kind person who's just stuck. Try to focus on good grades in college, enjoy the characters you've come to like so much but realise that's what they are, characters. Through your love for Fluttershy you found some of the characteristics you would most like in a potential real life partner, which is something. I advise you to go talk to someone about this who might help you get over your crush. It's great if it empowers you but you can't let it slow you down. I wish you the best of luck.
