One thing that a child can't do is blackmail someone much older than them. Even if she did tell lies about you being an awful babysitter, I would think that her mother is more likely to believe you because you would be more mature. Whereas some kids are compulsive liars. If I were you, I'd speak with her mother about it and ignore the girl's threats. Her mother would need to know, so that she will know that it's wrong and may avoid getting into trouble at school. And unless the young girl admits it herself, is caught out or if you get evidence, the only way her mother will know is if you tell her.
