my kids Hate going to church !!

I have to agree with Avant on this one, plus she was speaking about church & church only. Every situation is different, you know?

I understand you trying to better them & you sound like a great mom for wanting the best, but church isn't what it used to be and times have changed. When I was younger, I was FORCED to go to church. I was baptized, did my confirmation, communion & even went to a catholic school up until it came to 6th grade. I BEGGED & PLEADED that I didn't want to go anymore & my parents finally accepted me for who I was.

I turned out to be a good person, I have a great job, go to school, volunteer, etc. I do all of this not because I used to go to church, but because **I** wanted to. It all comes down to wanting to do something, and it sounds like your children don't want to do this.

You have to realize that to them this is just ANOTHER chore. You should give them the choice, so that later in life they don't link the relation of chore & church. You don't want them to resent you. I wish you all the best! <3
