It's normal. But keep in mind that if you continue to make church a forced thing they might stray away from it as they grow. If they don't want to go (and they are old enough to stay home) then you should let them. You cannot FORCE god on anyone, all you'll end up doing is pushing them away from it when they're old enough to make their own decision on the matter. Ask them why they hate it and perhaps discuss the true meanings of it.
