I used to hate going to church. Children are usually fussy about doing things like that, I used to have a babysitter that always insisted on taking me and my sister outside when she was over. We never wanted to go because it was cold etc etc. we always enjoyed ourselves once we were out though.
Of course theres the whole "your forcing your kids into religion" argument, but I guess thats your decision. I used to go to church and am now non-religious and it didnt really scar me
