You really need to change things pretty quickly. Stress like you are experiencing is very dangerous and can lead to serious medical problems.
Try to find a job where you do not have to deal with customers at all, like a night time shelf stock person in a supermarket or department store. Even as a janitor at night in a large building; it may not be glamorous, but you would be mostly alone and unsupervised.
Being unemployed would probably not be particularly un-stressful for you, so I'd find one before I told this creep to shove it, unless you have enough saved to live on until you do find work.
At one point in my life, I took a class in electronic technology with the intent of leaving my seagoing career to begin the 9 to 5 grind, at my second wife's request. After graduation, I was courted by IBM to work in a factory so big that it took 10 minutes to walk from the farthest parking space to the time clock. During the 2 weeks I was considering the job, I had headaches and was nauseous every waking minute of every day. As soon as I decided against taking the job, I was fine again, so I do understand how you feel. Good luck.
