  • First of all, speaking as an old Air Force puke, all service is honorable, whether it be the Guard, Reserve, or active duty.

Second of all, cut out the fighting. Besides the possibility of getting your @$$ pounded bloody, you might find yourself arrested. That would screw up any chance you have of being promoted, or changing jobs in the Guard, and my friend, DON'T fight during your UTAs or annual training. An Article 15 or court-martial is deadly serious stuff. If you apply for a job where you are asked that, and if you have either of those on your record, you might find it hard to get the job, if not impossible.

Sounds like you want some action. Have you looked around for other units and jobs you can try out for? When I was in the Army Reserve for a short while as an Intel weenie, there was a captain who was going to Ranger School.

How about the Air National Guard? The Air Guard has pararescue units. The training is tough, the job is demanding, and it is rewarding. Good luck!
