My husband plays tooo much video games

I have to get his off my chest. I love playing video games as well.
But at the same times, I would love to spend quality time with him and do something else than just sit in one spot for multiple hours. We play video games all the time, I just want to do something else.
Am I in the wrong?

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Well it doesn't matter whether it's video games or not, I just think it's only fair that you both do something that you want to do every now and then, instead of just doing stuff he wants to do.

  • Play naked video games with him. It might give him other ideas.

  • Tell him that.

  • You chose wrong girl.
    You're not the first.
Get out, find a real man.

  • Maybe it's to a point where you need to set times specific for his gaming. Allow enough "other" time for even bike ride, or going out and walking the dog, going to a movie every now and then. You can always set certain nights of week for certain activities. But the longer you let it go, the harder it will be to help him realize he's addicted, just as many are addicted to the Facebook, etc.

  • Maybe take an active interest in his hobby? If it's gone beyond hobby and into addiction territory maybe confront him in a non judgemental way. Research some ways to deal with a loved one with video game addiction, but if he will not help himself you can't keep trying to fix him.

    • She said she likes playing video games as well, just not to the extent that he does. Guys are to busy trying to save the galaxy while life at home crumbles around them.
