No it's not normal. Just because you can control someone doesn't mean you should. If ya'll have kids I can understand him accepting moving into a shed to be close to his family, but you shouldn't take advantage of that. If he's willing to do that it tells me he loves you deeply. Why can't he just move out and come over when you need him? What goes around comes back around. Don't abuse him intentionally or you may get a huge dose of your own medicine in the future.

Living in the shed would be basically free so it makes good financial sense.
He is a jerk too so I kind of want to punish him which may not be nice but it feels good.
