    I myself am a "FURRY" I'm not sexual aroused by animals, nor do I have sex with them......many people fursuits are a fetish, and for some in the fandom it is. not all of us have sex in our suits, although we do have hook ups at conventions sometimes. point being, she just wants something new and exciting.

    Yes there are lots of people into this.
    My girlfriend, Englishwolfe, and I met each other due to this common interest. It is associated with the furry fandom. I say associated. Many furries will tell you and swear up and down they are not into sex in their mascot costumes (called fursuits in the furry fandom.) So not all furries are into it.In fact there seems to be a little bit of a negative connotation connected with this.
    Furries call people who are into fursuits for sexual fetish and those who have sex in them "furverts."

    This does not constitute bestiality at all. It is only bestiality if there is a full blooded animal involved. This is just another type of clothing fetish, where instead of being attracted to leather garments, jackets or spandex, you are attracted to the idea of one or both parties wearing mascot costumes instead.
    If it will help you, think of her as a werewolf. Werewolves are sapient human-like creatures.
    Try it out, you may find it disturbing at first but if you are willing to try it out you may find it really kinky. It will draw you closer to your girlfriend because she confided some in you and you were willing to try it out. She will feel comfortable being honest with you in the future.

      i really thought this was a good explanation unlike the others on here and "furverts" as alot of furs call them are usually just more imaginative and find that kind of stuff sexually arousing just like some people may find other types of anime sexually arousing so i dont really like that term even though im not really all that into the sexual aspect of the furry fandom
