I tried this one time with my best friend. It didn't go well.
I voted that it wasn't normal, but I think it was more of a man reaction. Or the single child in me coming up.
Either way, if you're comfortable with it, no worries. Just don't end up spooning him or anything. Unless you have to...then be the big spoon.
