like chairs sed if her personality hasnt changed then shes still kindof the same person.If you have drifted appart and theres no gonig back it is hard to forget about a really good friend i have had to do it several times but thats the way of life you can always leave on a good note dont be hastey or your friend will become your enemy and that hurts even more.
